Areas of focus

You’re getting through your days. You’re doing what needs to get done. From the outside, you may even look like you’re handling everything just fine. But inside? It feels like it’s too much.

Maybe your brain won’t shut off. You replay conversations, worry about things you know you can’t control, or feel overwhelmed by decisions that shouldn’t feel this hard. Maybe you’re more irritable, exhausted, or wondering why things that used to roll off your back suddenly don’t.

Or maybe you’ve been through something difficult and thought you’d be “over it” by now… but your body and emotions seem to have other plans.

This is often where therapy with me begins.

I work with teens (14+), adults, and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, and major life transitions. Together, we’ll look beyond the symptoms and get curious about what’s happening underneath them.

What patterns keep showing up, even when you understand where they come from? What is your body trying to tell you when your shoulders tense, your thoughts start racing, or you react more strongly than you want to?

Because understanding why you feel this way matters… but sometimes insight alone isn’t enough to actually feel better.

My approach combines Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), CBT, and DBT and AEDP with a focus on the connection between your mind and body. We’ll work together to understand your patterns, build practical skills, and help you feel more steady and in control of how you respond to what life throws at you.

I bring extensive experience working with trauma, along with a background in psychotherapy research and program development. But therapy with me isn’t clinical or one-size-fits-all. I’m warm, curious, collaborative, and very human.

You don’t need to know exactly what to say or have your goals perfectly figured out. We can start exactly where you are.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can tell me a little about what’s going on, ask questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

I enjoy yoga & gardening.
