Areas of focus
You already have the inner resources to heal; my role is to help guide you, learn how to trust and use your own resources and most importantly to have someone by your side…you’ve done this all alone long enough. Analyzing and gaining insight are important, but that can only take you so far. We are going to work together to help both your mind and body process the patterns that leave you feeling stuck, anxious, numb, or disconnected in your life or your relationships.
There are many therapy models a therapist can choose from. I work from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) because I have found these tools to be deeply rooted in connection, safety and truly processing and healing past trauma and hurts.
Not only am I a therapist, but I have 30 years experience as a licensed massage therapist and fitness teacher. These tools allow me to value your whole self, honoring how physical tension and emotional stress are deeply connected and most importantly how to start to let go of that tension.
Just because I have heard a similar story to yours, I have not heard yours yet. Your background, lived experiences, and relationships are important to truly understanding what YOU are going through and how YOU are experiencing it. In our sessions, we will focus on building your natural strengths while gently exploring the behaviors that may no longer serve you
I offer Virtual daytime and evening appointments to make scheduling as easy and convenient as possible.
